MANDI: A number of complaints were resolved during Jan Manch at Bhadarvad panchayat, falling under Sarkaghat subdivision, Mandi district, on Friday.

A number of complaints were resolved during Jan Manch at Bhadarvad panchayat, falling under Sarkaghat subdivision, Mandi district, on Friday.

As many as 112 complaints were received by the local administration and most were disposed of on the spot.

Health Minister Mahender Singh Thakur said Jan Manch aimed at helping people at their doorstep.

He directed officials of various departments not to delay any work.

A water harvesting scheme for irrigation was in the pipeline. Similarly, for Ropri, Check, Janjhel and Havani panchayats, there was a proposal of Rs 25-crore water harvesting scheme.

The minister said Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur would lay stones of these schemes.

The Health Minister was accompanied by Sarkaghat MLA Inder Singh, MP Ramswaroop Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Rugved Thakur and Subdivisional Magistrate, Sarkaghat, Shrawan Manta.
