180 attend Model UN ceremony at Edward’s

Shimla, May 25

Over 180 delegates from schools in Shimla and surrounding areas participate in the St Edward’s School Model United Nations’ inaugural ceremony, presided over by Himachal DGP SR Mardi.

Addressing the delegates, Mardi expressed concern over veto power exercised by permanent members of the United Nations. He also encouraged the students to strive to be all-rounders and keep their thoughts positive. “If parents are happy, it is the biggest achievement for an offspring,” he said.

Upholding the motto of a drug-free city, the school also organised a cross-country race in which students of all ages participated. TNS
