2 held with 26gm chitta in Theog

Two persons have been arrested with 26 gm of chitta (heroin) in Theog, Shimla. The accused have been identified as Rajan Dogra (28), a resident of Gawach village in Kotkhai tehsil, Shimla, and Aayush (21), a resident of Batawada village in Kotkhai.

According to police, they received a tip-off that several individuals involved in the drug trade were present in Theog. Acting on the information, a police team reached the Theog bypass, where they found two persons sitting in a car (HP 09 C 6562) parked along the roadside. During the checking of the vehicle, the team recovered 26 gm of chitta from their possession. Both men were immediately arrested.

Shimla Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi confirmed the development and said a case under Sections 21 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused. Further investigation is underway.
