In a sensational case, two persons were injured in a firing incident at Nangal village on the Palasra road in Nalagarh industrial area following an altercation between two groups on Tuesday evening.
The clash took place over the contentious issue of scrap. Five to six people came in an Alto car and fled the spot after firing upon the two local youth, as per the preliminary information.
The injured have been identified as Ricky and Neeraj. They received splinter injuries on the hands and legs. The duo has been referred to PGIMER in Chandigarh after being administered preliminary treatment at a local hospital.
According to a preliminary probe, the weapon was used in the crime, and enmity between the two groups led to the clash.
A case of attempt to murder and Arms Act has been registered, and a further probe is underway. The miscreants fled the spot after firing and were yet to be traced.
Baddi SP Vinod Dhiman, who visited the spot, constituted various teams to nab the accused. Closed-circuit cameras were being examined to gather clues.
