4.5-kg charas seized, two arrested

The police have seized 4.5 kg charas from the possession of two accused and arrested them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act .

According to the police, the accused were traveling in a truck (HP33-4122) in Jogindernagar area. The police patrolling team stopped them near Chauntra. During the checking, the police recovered 4.5 kg charas from the possession of accused Rangila Ram, a native of Gabali village, and Sanjay Kumar, a resident of Dhamchehar village under Padhar tehsil in Mandi district. 

Madan Kant, DSP Padhar, said the accused were produced before the court today, from where they were sent on police remand till January 15.
