The 41st annual prize distribution function of Rabindranath Tagore Government Degree College, Sarkaghat, will be held on March 7 at 10.30 am on campus. Dharampur MLA Chander Shekhar will attend the function as the chief guest.

During the ceremony, meritorious students will be honoured for their outstanding achievements in academics, sports, cultural activities and various co-curricular fields. A total of 410 students will be awarded in different categories, including annual academic performance, semester toppers, sports, cultural activities, NCC, NSS, R&R, student editor, CSCA, library user, eco club and red ribbon club.

The college will distribute awards amounting to approximately Rs 6,26,600 to recognise the achievements of the students. The highest share of awards will be given for annual academic performance, followed by sports and semester achievements.

College Principal Dr RR Kaundal said invitations had already been sent to distinguished guests and preparations for the event were completed. He urged students to remain present on time to receive their awards personally. He also invited parents and guardians to attend the function and encourage the students.
