Shimla, July 17
As many as 5,500 saplings were planted by school children, women, villagers and Dhaba workers in 11 villages during a plantation drive organised by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on Parwanoo–Solan–Kaithlighat and Chandigarh–Manali national highways.
The saplings were planted in Barog, Samle, Waknaghat and Diharghat, in Solan district; Maura, Bakroha and Sanur, in Bilaspur district; Balah Banala, and Nagwain in Mandi district; and Talogi and Banonpur in Kullu district. — TNS
