A Nursing Officer at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Pooja Thakur, brought was invited to be a speaker at the 4th World Nursing and Healthcare Conference, held in London on April 23-24.
Recognised for her research work and professional excellence, she was selected to deliver an oral presentation among distinguished healthcare experts and academicians. Her research, titled ‘Preoperative nasal decolonisation and its effect on surgical site infection among adult patients undergoing cardiac surgery’, reflected a strong commitment to improving patient care outcomes in cardiac surgery.
Her study focused on the prevention of surgical site infections through evidence-based nursing interventions, highlighting the crucial role of nurses in enhancing patient safety and delivering quality healthcare.
