All eyes on Pratibha, Khushal in Mandi

Six candidates have been left in the poll fray for the Mandi Lok Sabha byelection.

They are Congress’ Pratibha Singh, BJP’s Brig Khushal Thakur (retd), Ambika Shyam of the Rashtriya Lokneeti Party, Munshi Ram Thakur of the Himachal Jankranti party, Anil Kumar and Subhash Mohan Snehi as Independent. Today was the last day for withdrawal of nominations.

The main contest is between Khushal Thakur and Pratibha Singh, who are campaigning extensively in this constituency.

Returning officer Arindam Choudhary has allotted election symbols to the candidates.

The officer said, “The election symbols are divided into three parts, recognized political parties, registered political parties and Independents.”
