The 18th All-India Korfball Federation Cup began on Thursday at the India Gandhi Sports Complex in Una. As many as 250 players representing nine states are participating in the three-day tournament.

Rural Development Minister Varinder Kanwar, who was the chief guest during the opening ceremony, said the state government was committed towards the development of sports infrastructure for players. He said 3 per cent reservation in government jobs was being provided to the players who excelled at the national or international levels. BR Suman, secretary of the Himachal Pradesh Korfball Association, spoke about the game and the achievements of the players at the international level.
