Dharamsala, July 20

An eight-month-old child was killed and seven others injured in a landslide on the Bhagsu waterfall trek in upper Dharamsala today.

The injured have been identified as Usha Devi, Jagpal and their three children, Achar Chand, Sunita Devi, all residents of Una district.

Sources said the two families from Una were on a vacation. Today, when they were returning from the Bhagsu waterfall, muck from hill fell over them.

They were shifted by local hoteliers to the Dharamsala zonal hospital, from where they were referred to Tanda medical college.

This is the second landslide in the region due to heavy rain. Yesterday, the Khara Danda road was blocked following a massive landslide.
