Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur confers degrees on students of Career Point University, Kharwar.

Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur, advised students of Career Point University, Kharwar, that more they will struggle, more knowledge they would earn which would lead them to success.

He made the comments during the seventh convocation of the university on Monday.

He said students must do their job responsibly and honestly and bring laurels to their institution and parents.

On the occasion, the minister conferred 27 gold medals and 579 degrees on meritorious students. Earlier, he inaugurated a shooting range in the university.

Thakur advised students to visit the country to better understand its greatness and said the universities should help to promote and conserve the nation’s rich cultural heritage through student exchange programmes.

He said the CPU was probably the first private university in the state where Atal Innovation and Incubation Centre was established. “Research and start-ups would promote self employment and job generation in the state. As many as 21 youths are carrying out their research in the centre under the Chief Minister Start Up Scheme in collaboration with industry department,” the Union Minister said.

Hailing contribution of Prime Minister and the Union government in controlling the Covid, he said the country’s health system was not prepared for such a pandemic. “But due to the visionary and strong leadership of the PM, the country was able to develop state-of-the-art health infrastructure and provide free ration to 80 crore people for two years,” Thakur added.
