Army rededicates Shradhanjali Sthal at heritage museum in Shimla, unveils 52-ft National Flag

The renovated Shradhanjali Sthal at the Army Heritage Museum was formally rededicated in Annandale, Shimla, on Monday. To mark the occasion, a wreath-laying ceremony was led by Lt Gen Devendra Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Army Training Command (ARTRAC).
A spokesperson of ARTRAC said the ceremony also witnessed the dedication of a majestic 52-feet-high National Flag, symbolising the nation’s unity, pride and the supreme sacrifices made by soldiers in the service of the motherland.
“The Tricolour now stands as a prominent and inspiring landmark within the Army Heritage Museum complex, one of Shimla’s important tourist attractions with substantial visitor footfall throughout the year,” he said.
The spokesperson further said the renovated Shradhanjali Sthal has been upgraded to enhance its sanctity and aesthetic dignity, reinforcing its role as a place of reverence, reflection and inspiration.
Military personnel of Headquarters ARTRAC, Station Units Ex Servicemen and NCC Cadets were present on the occasion, who also paid solemn homage to the brave hearts of the Indian Army.
