A total of 163 labourers participated, with 137 receiving new Labour Welfare Identity Cards. Additionally, e-KYC for 82 workers was successfully completed during the camp.
The camp was presided over by District Labour Welfare Officer Kinnaur, Sapan Jasrotia, who briefed workers on various schemes run by the Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. These include medical assistance, accident and death benefits, education scholarships, maternity benefits, and procedures for registration and renewal.
Jasrotia emphasised the importance of timely e-KYC, obtaining identity cards, and renewing registrations to ensure uninterrupted access to welfare schemes. Workers appreciated the initiative and requested more such camps in remote regions. The Labour Welfare Office assured continued outreach to ensure welfare benefits reach all eligible workers, including women labourers.
