Balasundari Chaitra Navratri Fair to be held from March 30
The renowned Balasundari Chaitra Navratri Fair in Trilokpur, one of North India’s most significant religious gatherings, will be held from March 30 to April 12. To ensure seamless event management, Sirmaur Deputy Commissioner Sumit Khimta, who is also the Commissioner of Temple Trust Trilokpur, chaired a review meeting yesterday. The meeting was attended by Nahan MLA Ajay Solanki, along with key officials and members of the temple trust.
Khimta emphasised that all necessary facilities will be provided to devotees visiting the fair. He assured that strict security measures will be implemented to ensure a safe pilgrimage. Additionally, provisions for clean drinking water, sanitation, transportation and healthcare services will be made available.
For efficient management, the fair area will be divided into four sectors, with each sector supervised by a duty magistrate and a police officer. Security will be further reinforced with the deployment of police personnel, home guards and private security agencies.
To minimise inconvenience to local residents of Trilokpur, a well-planned traffic management system will be implemented. The meeting also discussed traffic regulation from Kala Amb to Trilokpur, the establishment of alternative routes, an information centre, emergency medical facilities, electricity supply, temple decorations, transport services and sanitation measures in the fair premises. The Deputy Commissioner directed concerned departments to ensure timely execution of all necessary preparations.
During the meeting, Nahan SDM Rajeev Sankhyan, who is also the Joint Commissioner of Temple Trust, presented a detailed review of the fair’s arrangements. Additionally, the income-expenditure report of the Temple Trust was discussed, along with proposed development projects for the temple’s future expansion.
The meeting was attended by government officials and members of the Trilokpur Temple Trust, who provided valuable insights for the smooth organisation of the fair.
With robust security, transport and infrastructure plans in place, the Balasundari Chaitra Navratri Fair promises to attract thousands of devotees from across the country.
