Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur today said the bickering within the Cabinet and CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s silence on the issue is affecting governance in the state.
In a statement issued here today, Thakur said the public works are getting affected due to poor governance and unbridled administrative machinery. “There is no administrative control as ministers are virtually daggers drawn at each other. Is the government scared of acting against the erring officials,” he quipped.
He said the complete administrative failure and poor governance is taking a toll on the routine functioning of the state government. “What is most worrisome is that all development works have come to a standstill with rampant corruption at every level in the state,” he said.
State BJP general secretary Sanjeev Katwal today hit out at the Congress regime for complete administrative failure and unaccountability of bureaucrats. In a statement issued here today, Katwal said there was no accountability of officers who think they are not answerable to anyone. “It is not a question of which officer hails from which state but taking action against the corrupt officers,” he said. He added that officers too must not act in a partisan manner and should function in an independent and fair manner.
