The BJP will hold a protest outside the Vidhan Sabha on March 27 against rampant corruption and the alleged mafia rule under the Congress government, said state BJP president Rajeev Bindal and Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur while addressing mediapersons here today.

They said that workers from all over the state would arrive at the Vidhan Sabha to protest against false promises, failed guarantees, rampant corruption and the alleged mafia raj flourishing under patronage from the government.

Bindal said that the drug, forest, transfer, scrap and mining mafias were flourishing under the patronage of the state government. “The Congress has been in power for two and a half years and every section of people are totally disappointed with it for not fulfilling any of the election guarantees,” he added. He alleged that the government had failed to create one lakh jobs every year, disappointing the unemployed youth.

Directions have been issued to the treasury not to release more than Rs 10,000 under the MLA Priority Fund," he alleged.
