Blood donation camp today

Sunil Upadhyay Educational Trust, Shimla, will conduct a blood donation camp near the HPU library on Friday. All Covid SOPs will be followed at the camp, said the organisers. Trust secretary Surender Sharma said youths would start getting vaccinated from May 1 and they would not be able to donate blood or plasma for three months after vaccination. In view of this, the Trust is holding a camp so that they could donate blood in huge numbers.

Stop appointments at HPU: NSUI

The NSUI has demanded that the appointment process underway at the HPU University be stopped like all other activities. Candidates and subject experts travel from various districts of the state and even from outside the state for these appointments, which raises the risk of the spread of the virus. Considering the risk, the NSUI has written to the Governor, demanding that the appointment process be stopped.

Appoint permanent VC at CUhp: ABVP

The ABVP has expressed deep concern over the vacant post of Vice-Chancellor in the Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) for more than a year. In a letter written to the President, the ABVP stated no permanent vice-chancellor had been appointed in this institution even after one year. Demanding appointment of the Vice-Chancellor, the ABVP said not only the students were suffering but many developmental works were also stalled because of the vacant top post.
