Mandi, February 11
Hoteliers of Kullu-Manali are demanding construction of Kothi-Mathivan road up to Panduropa, which will open a new tourist destination for visitors under Manali subdivision in Kullu district.
Anup Thakur, president of the Hoteliers Association, Kullu-Manali, said, “Since 2013, we have been demanding the construction of this road up to Panduropa, which will make Bhrigu Lake easily accessible to the tourists.
He said, “The approval has been given for the construction of road between Kothi and Mathivan, which is of no benefit to the hotel industry. In 2013, the then Chief Minister had declared that the road up to Panduropa be constructed, but at the ground level, there is no progress in this direction.”
“The Bhrigu Lake can be opened as a new tourist destination. Bhrigu Lake is 8-km away from Panduropa” he added. — TNS
