She added that this assistance demonstrated the Centre’s strong commitment to supporting the state, especially during the time of crisis.
Kangana, while speaking with mediapersons, said, “Central governments before 2014 had continuously ignored Himachal Pradesh but since Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, the state had received unprecedented support. The state government should express gratitude instead of making unnecessary remarks.”
Kangana said that disaster relief funds were fixed for every state and a small state like Himachal received 100 times higher relief from the Central Government against the actual fixed disaster fund.
Asked about her absence from the flood-hit areas during the devastation caused by heavy rain during the ongoing monsoon season, Kangana clarified that she was actively engaged in seeking relief at the national level. “I met the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other Union Ministers in New Delhi to urge them for financial support for the people of Mandi,” she said. She added that this was her second visit to the region during the disaster and dismissed as politically-motivated propaganda the claims about her absence.
Asked about she being projected as next Chief Minister, Kangana said, “She now understands that politics is purely about public service. Politics is not about personal gain. It’s about serving people and I have proven my abilities from childhood till date.” She expressed full confidence in shouldering any responsibility assigned by the party and the Prime Minister.
Kangana praised Modi’s leadership, including initiatives like Operation Sindoor, which, she said, had sent a strong message to India’s adversaries. She then reiterated her signature sentence, “Modi hai to Mumkin hai.” After the yajna, Kangana proceeded to Chakkar in Shimla to participate in a blood donation camp. She encouraged people to support the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative by planting saplings in the name of their mothers.
She earlier visited the Sidhkali Temple in Mandi city and took part in a yajna organised by the BJP. The religious ceremony was held to seek divine blessings for peace, prosperity and protection of people from natural disasters in Himachal. Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur also took part in the yajna, which was part of the BJP’s broader initiative marking Prime Minister’s 75th birthday celebrated through the ongoing Seva Pakhwada.
