Manjeet (pic), a young athlete from Bharmour is set to represent India at the Asian Winter Games-2025, which are being held in Harbin, China, from February 7-14. Manjeet hails from Lahal Khani village in the Bharmour subdivision and at present, serves as a soldier in the Army.

Manjeet has been making waves in cross-country skiing, with one gold and two silver medals at Khelo India Games-2024. He had previously secured a gold and a silver medal in the Junior National Championship-2022, which paved the way for his selection for the Asian Winter Games.

His selection has brought immense joy to the people of Bharmour, with celebrations echoing across the region. Local MLA Dr Janak Raj expressed his delight over Manjeet’s achievement, extending his best wishes for the competition.
