Chamba gives BJP massive lead

Chamba, May 23 

Kangra Lok Sabha BJP candidate Kishan Kapoor got 1,54,730 votes while Pawan Kajal of the Congress secured 44,394 votes in four Assembly constituencies of Chamba district.   

With this, Kapoor got a lead of 1,10,336 votes over Kajal in Churah (SC), Chamba, Dalhousie and Bhattiyat.  

According to official communiqué issued here today, in the Bharmour (ST) Assembly constituency, which falls in Mandi, Ram Swaroop Sharma of the BJP got 32,510 votes and Ashray Sharma of the Congress 12,784 votes. Ram Swaroop Sharma got a lead of 19,726 votes.   Interestingly, 2,559 votes went to NOTA in five constituencies of Chamba district.
