Himachal Chief Minister interacts with ‘children of the state’ on educational tour
Encourages them to make the most of the trips Chandigarh and Jaipur under Mukhyamantri Sukh-Aashray Yojana
Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday interacted with “children of the state” from the Child Care Institutions (CCIs) of Sundernagar, Talyar, Bharnal and Dehar in Mandi district through a video call.
A total of 31 children from the four CCIs are on an educational tour to Chandigarh and Jaipur under the Mukhyamantri Sukh-Aashray Yojana.
Sukhu said that the Mukhyamantri Sukh-Aashray Yojana was not limited to providing protection but was aimed at creating opportunities that ensure a secure and dignified future for orphan children.
The Chief Minister encouraged the children to make the most of this opportunity. “Such tours offer valuable exposure and help in understanding various subjects in a practical and engaging manner,” he added.
The children, who travelled by air for the first time, shared their flight experience. He also enquired about their accommodation and food arrangements and advised them to remain focused on their studies.
He said that the government was committed to the betterment of these children and assured them of taking care of them supporting them up to the age of 27 years.
