It had been decided to establish nine super-speciality departments, including cardiology, nephrology and neurology, at the medical college. This would enable PGI-level medical facilities for the people of Hamirpur in the near future. Besides, a separate mother-child hospital would be constructed at the medical college.

He added that to provide better quality education to students of government schools, 100 schools would be brought under the CBSE in the first phase. This initiative would ensure children from rural backgrounds receive quality education.

He assured the gathering that he would secure a budget from the Chief Minister for the construction of a new building and a laboratory at the school in place of the old structure. He said that the Chief Minister had introduced a special package using the resources of the state for the rehabilitation of families affected by disasters without relying on the Central Government aid.
