Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today urged investors to give their wholehearted support to the forthcoming Global Investors’ Meet as they were the brand ambassadors of the state. The CM spoke this while presiding over the silver jubilee celebrations of Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Industries Association (BBNIA) at Baddi last evening.

The CM said the role of entrepreneurs in progress and development of the state was vital and industries were not only providing employment to the lakhs of youth but also contributing to state exchequer by way of taxes.

While elaborating on the government’s initiatives, he said the state was now ranked top among Fast Movers Category in Ease of Doing Reforms and the Single Window Monitoring and Clearance Authority. This reflected strong commitment of the state government to ensure efficiency, transparency, timeliness and accountability in providing services to investors.

Thakur assured the investors that the four-laning work of Pinjore-Baddi-Nalagarh road would be expedited for facilitating the entrepreneurs. He said that till date MoUs worth Rs 79,000 crore have been signed. The investors coming from other states would not be able to invest without the active support of the local entrepreneurs as they would require their support to do business in the state.

He invited the entrepreneurs from the area to be part of the Investors Meet and thereby make their contribution in the development of the state. He informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah would also grace the meet to be held in November.

Industries Minister Bikram Singh Thakur was also present on the occasion.

President BBNIA Sanjay Khurana elaborated on the association’s 25-year journey.
