Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today visited the ongoing ‘Impression & Expressions – HC Rai Memorial Art Fest’, being held at the historic Gaiety Theatre. Sukhu lauded the organisers for their dedication to preserving the rich tradition of art, especially in showcasing the works of four generations of artists.

The event is being organised by Abhivyakti, with the support of the Department of Language and Culture, Himachal Pradesh, and features the works of distinguished artists such as HC Rai, Him Chatterjee, Ranjan Mallik, Kewal Krishna Kamra, Jagjit Singh, Danny Balbir Singh and Aditya Singh Thakur.

The event was marked by a gesture of appreciation by Abhivyakti secretary Amala Rai, who presented the CM and Shimla (Urban) MLA Harish Janartha with a painting and a souvenir mug as tokens of respect.

She also presented a Rs 22,750 cheque to the CM, pledging 25 per cent of the sales proceeds from the sales of the last year’s centenary celebrations to the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
