KANGRA: Principal of Gian Jyoti College of Education, Rajol, Vijayata Chaudhary has been awarded the Bharat Vidya Ratna award for her outstanding contribution in the field of education at a function organised by the International Business Council at the Indian Society of International Law in New Delhi.

Kangra, October 17

Principal of Gian Jyoti College of Education, Rajol, Vijayata Chaudhary has been awarded the Bharat Vidya Ratna award for her outstanding contribution in the field of education at a function organised by the International Business Council at the Indian Society of International Law in New Delhi.

Virender Chaudhary, Chairman of the college, yesterday said she represented Himachal in the national award ceremony and was the only woman recipient from the state. He said the award was given to 50 persons working in the field of education, health and economics. A seminar on Kashmir, water and health issues was also organised during the function in which delegates of different countries participated.

Vijayata said this achievement was due to the blessings of her family, parents and founder chairman of the college Vidya Sagar. — OC
