The Congress today demanded action against corruption which surfaced in the Paonta Sahib Municipal Committee following a video that went viral and said the district administration should initiate action against the wrong-doers.
In a memorandum submitted by Congress leaders Aninder Singh and councillors - Harvinder Kaur, Renu Dogri, Inderpreet Kaur, Bhawna Chandna and Dhanveer Kapoor to the DC, Sirmaur, they have demanded action against the vice-chairman, who was allegedly found involved in corruption. Later addressing the media, they said it was surprising why no FIR had been registered in this case. — TNS
