Congress nominee for Kangra Lok Sabha seat Pawan Kajal will file his nomination paper on April 29 at Dharamsala. He said he would hold a public meeting there. The Congress has decided to intensify door-to-door campaigning against the BJP in the constituency.
Pawan Kajal addressed booth level workers and panchayat representatives of Kangra Assembly segment at his residence today. The meeting was held for chalking out poll strategy where the workers and panchayat representatives assured Kajal that they would fan out in other segments of the Lok Sabha constituency for campaigning, ensuring lead for him.
Kajal said on the day of his nomination, at least 15000 workers from Kangra Assembly segment will join him in Dharamsala. He asked the panchayat representatives to move door to door and highlight the failures of the Kangra MP Shanta Kumar and the “step-motherly attitude” he adopted towards the Kangra Assembly constituency during the last five years. Kajal said, if elected to the Lok Sabha, he will raise relevant issues in Parliament.
He would spend 20 days in a month in his Matour office to redress the problems of the people.
He said that he had received tremendous response from different Assembly constituencies of Kangra Lok Sabhaconstituency that has left the BJP unnerved.
He said that Birta panchayat pradan Ranjeet Singh and Kohala Pradhan Sunita Devi had joined the Congress after deserting the BJP.
