In a remarkable achievement, Lokesh, the son of a cook at Auckland House School for Boys, has secured 90.75 per cent in the Class 12 exams, emerging as one of the school’s top scorers. He now aims to serve the nation as a doctor in the Indian Army.

His journey is rooted in simplicity and sacrifice. Lokesh lives in a small single-room house with his family. His father, Neem Chand, has long worked as a cook at the same school, while his mother, Shiv Dai, supports the family as a sewing helper. Resources were limited, but encouragement was not.

“We have seen many hardships, but today our son has made us proud beyond words. His success feels like our life’s biggest reward,” his parents said.

Lokesh said he drew inspiration from his elder brother and sister and grew up believing that circumstances do not define destiny. His father’s words stayed with him: “People may try to pull you down, but you must never lose focus.” He said he carries that lesson into every challenge he faces.

A former Head Boy, Lokesh led by example, balancing leadership duties with academics and co-curricular activities. An all-rounder, he actively participated in sports, acting, and oratory. “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy,” he said. For him, sports were not a distraction but a discipline that shaped his mindset. Without external coaching, he relied on that discipline to push himself harder in his studies.

“An hour of complete focus is far more rewarding than an entire day of distracted studying,” Lokesh said. He avoids comparisons, believing they steal joy, and values open conversations and seeking help when needed. “Teachers are always supportive — you just need to ask,” he added.

The principal of Auckland House School for Boys said, “Lokesh’s achievement reflects not just academic brilliance but strength of character. His journey is an inspiration to every student that dedication and sincerity can overcome any limitation.”

“Lohesh has shown consistent academic performance. He scored 88.80 per cent in Class 10 and was honoured at the Governor’s level twice for topping his class — milestones that quietly built the foundation of his present success,” the principal added.
