The case came to light on November 7, 2025, when a young woman from the Churah area levelled allegations against the MLA through social media. She alleged that she was sexually exploited by the legislator after being lured and misled. Following the complaint, an FIR was registered at the Chamba Women’s Police Station.

The court granted him interim anticipatory bail on November 11 and he was later granted regular bail on November 27. After completing the investigation, the police filed a chargesheet in the Chamba court on January 21. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for March 30.
