As many as 650 Covid cases were reported in the state today, taking the total tally to 38,977. Besides, 11 persons died of the virus in the last 24 hours. Five deaths took place in Shimla, and three in Kangra while one person each died of the virus in Solan, Una, and Chamba.
The highest number of 160 cases were reported in Kangra, followed by 111 in Shimla. The Engine Ghar area of Shimla has been declared a containment zone with a large number of Covid cases being reported. — TNS
