Cracks in retaining walls a threat

Cracks can be seen in the retaining walls constructed by a private company on the Parwanoo-Solan highway. The project is yet to be completed, and the wall has already developed cracks. It speaks volumes about the substandard work being done. Immediate steps should be taken to address this problem, as the wall is posing a threat to the commuters, especially during the monsoon.

Stray cattle on mandi road a nuisance for commuters

Stray cattle on the roadside at Kalkhar in Mandi have become a source of trouble for the commuters. This highway leads to Sarkaghat and Jahu from Mandi side via Nerchowk or Rewalsar. Due to poor management of the district administration, these cattle are posing a threat to the travellers on the highway. The authorities concerned should make efforts to shift these cattle to gau sadans.

— Yogesh Kumar, Mandi
