Dharamsala, April 20
After spending most of the time at his residence since the Covid outbreak, the Dalai Lama will visit Ladakh between July and August on the request of the Ladakh Buddhist Association.
The request was made to the Dalai Lama by Thiksay Rinpoche of Thiksay Monastery.
The two received a special audience from the Dalai Lama at his residence on April 18 during which the request was made as per Rinpoche.
The followers of the Dalai Lama in Ladakh will be delighted, said former MP Thupten Tsewang. Till now, the Dalai Lama had granted only virtual and in-person audiences from his residence.
