DC notifies reservation roster for panchayat

Deputy Commissioner Raghav Sharma has notified the reservation roster for the elections to the Amb Urban Local Body. In a press release issued here today, it has been informed that the Amb Nagar panchayat in Amb subdivision of Una district has nine wards, of which six have been reserved for different categories of candidates, while three will be open for any candidate to contest.

As per the notification, ward numbers 1, 5 and 7 have been declared open, from where any person can contest. Ward numbers 2, 3, 4 and 6 have been reserved for women candidates, irrespective of their caste.

Ward number 8 has been reserved for SC candidates, either males or females, and ward number 9 has been reserved for women SC candidates.
