Kullu Deputy Commissioner Torul S Ravish chaired a meeting to discuss infrastructure development near the Atal Tunnel on the Manali-Leh highway. The DC had earlier directed the Him Urja Project Officer to assess power requirements for operating CCTV cameras near the South Portal.

At the meeting, it was confirmed that specifications for solar panels have been finalised, and the tendering process is underway. The DC emphasised the need for prompt installation of these cameras.

The Forest Department was instructed to submit a proposal to the Government of India for additional funding to develop infrastructure at the site. Cleanliness efforts and toilet construction at the South Portal were also reviewed, with officials confirming the completion of toilet facilities at Solang Nala.
