Dehra police district, which came into existence in August 2024, has secured the second position in the state in Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) developed by the National Crime Records Bureau under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. The result was declared on Thursday.
SP, Dehra, Mayank Chaudhary said that soon after formation, the district police had started achieving remarkable achievement while working within limited resources. “The police district obtained the 14th position in the CCTNS ranking for the first quarter of 2025 (January to March), fourth in the second quarter (April to June), third in third quarter (July to September) and now the second position in the fourth quarter (October to December 2025) in the state,” he added.
The SP said the achievement was the outcome of hard work, strong willpower and professional capability of the dedicated police force as well as the trust of the public in them. He added that in future, too, the Dehra district police would continue to progress by committing to better policing, prompt and effective police stations.
The CCTNS helps the police in quick identification and tracking criminals and improves investigation efficiency. It also provides online services to citizens like complaint registration and status tracking. It is a comprehensive project aimed at enhancing the efficiency of law enforcement agencies.
