CLP leader Mukesh Agnihotri today sat on a dharna in front of the main gate of Himachal Vidhan Sabha complex today morning when he was denied entry.

The police officials told Agnihotri that only the Chief Minister and the Speaker were allowed from the main gate. Agnihotri alleged that it was the prerogative of all the members of the house to come in from the main gate. “I had come to hold a meeting with Congress legislative group at 11 am. However, I was stopped by police officials who asked me to come from another gate”, Agnihotri said.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur himself came to the main gate and persuaded Agnihotri to lift his dharna and come in. A meeting was held in the chamber of the Speaker Rajiv Bindal after which a decision was taken that all members of the house would be allowed to come from the main gate.
