Departments directed to submit reports for PM’s Awards for Excellence
In view of Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration 2024, Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap has directed all the departments to present the detailed reports on their best initiatives and works during a meeting that will be held on February 7. The award aims to recognise outstanding and exemplary work done by civil servants across the country.
Chairing a special meeting held here today, he said the decision regarding which department would apply for the award would depend on the reports submitted by the departments.
The DC said registration for the Prime Minister’s Excellence Award 2024 is now open on the online portal. He added that the heads of all departments have been directed to submit applications related to the projects operated by their departments under the specified categories. “The online registration can be done at the official portal https://pmawards.gov.in/, where applications for nominated projects will be invited according to the prescribed categories. The last date for submission of applications is February 14,” he said.
“The awards will be presented in three categories. In the first category, five districts will be awarded for overall development under 11 priority programmes. In the second category, five aspirational blocks will be recognised and in the third category, six central ministries, departments, states and districts will be awarded for innovation,” he said.
“Each category will receive a trophy, a scroll and a cash incentive of Rs 20 lakh” he added.
