The Deputy Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Vinay Kumar, laid the foundation stone for two new classrooms buildings at the Government Senior Secondary School, Kansar, in Kando Kansar gram panchayat under the Renuka Assembly constituency. The project, estimated to cost Rs 34 lakh, aims to strengthen educational infrastructure and provide better learning facilities for the rural students.

Addressing a large public gathering on the occasion, the Deputy Speaker emphasised that education plays a vital role in the all-round development of children. He said the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, was committed to improving the quality of education and upgrading basic infrastructure across Himachal Pradesh.

Vinay Kumar informed that the Chief Minister had sanctioned Rs 2 crore for strengthening of the Renuka–Dadahu–Birla road. He also took note of various public grievances during the event and directed the Jal Shakti Department to take prompt measures to improve drinking water supply in the area.

He instructed the Electricity Department to address issues related to low voltage and asked the Public Works Department to expedite construction work on the Birla–Dhaulakuan road to improve connectivity in the region.

The event also featured a colourful cultural programme presented by school students, showcasing the local traditions and talent of the region. The Deputy Speaker lauded students’ performances and appreciated enthusiasm of the local community in supporting the government’s developmental initiatives.
