The board has directed the Chief Engineers to provide the number and location where the ‘Bijli Upbhokta Mitra’ are required within a week.
The eligibility criteria for the position of ‘Bijli Upbhokta Mitra’ include matriculation with ITI (electrician/wireman trade) from a recognised institution, aged between 18-30 years and reasonable physical fitness and ability to work in the field. The aspirant should not be a person with a disability.
The recruitment of ‘Bijli Upbhokta Mitra’ aims to improve the resolution of consumer grievances in the field and increase transparency in electricity services.
The highest number recruitment will be done in Shimla Zone (510), followed by Kangra zone (476), Hamirpur zone (275) and Mandi Zone (251).
