Solan, July 29
HPCC president Pratibha Singh today said the countdown for the BJP government’s ouster had begun in the state and Congress workers were exposing its misdeeds.
Pratibha, who was addressing a mahila mahapanchayat organised at Paonta Sahib, urged party workers to work in unison to ensure the defeat of the BJP in Himachal.
She lauded the efforts of Kirnesh Jung, former MLA and party vice-president and said he had been raising the problems of the area even during the government of Virbhadra Singh.
She said earlier only a few women were active in politics but now they participate in large numbers owing to the policies of the Congress governments.
Leader of the Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri claimed that the Congress would form the next government in the state. “The Congress government will provide five lakh jobs with pension soon after coming to power. The old pension scheme will be restored in the very first Cabinet meeting.”
He said no one should have any doubt about the Congress coming to power as the BJP government was marred in corruption and was on its way out after three months.
