The industrial package given by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to Himachal Pradesh was a milestone for industrialisation in the state, said Bikram Thakur, state Industry Minister, on the occasion of Himachal Day here today.
He said it was the vision of Vajpayee that every panchayat was connected by roads under his flagship programme “Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana”.
He added that the global industrial meets organised by the BJP had attracted huge investments in the state and would prove to be helpful in job generation for the youth.
“Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has tried to implement the development mantra given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ‘Sab ka Sath, Sab ka Vikas, Sab ka Vishvas and Sab ka Prayas’. Schemes, including Mukhya Mantri Sahara Yojana, Mukhy Mantri Swavalamban Yojana, Mukhya Mantri Startup Yojana and Himcare Health Scheme, have helped people of the state in a big way,” Thakur said.
