Hamirpur, April 22
Former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said the departure of former state BJP chief and three-time MP was unfortunate and a loss to the BJP. He was responding to a question at Jangal Ropa village after addressing an election meeting in Hamipur today.
He said leaders should observe patience before taking such decisions as no one would gain by deserting a party where one had served and achieved heights.
Earlier addressing a public meeting, Dhumal said Hamipur had experienced unparallel development in the past five years. He said it was the dream of Anurag Thakur, sitting MP, to connect Bilaspur, Una and Hamirpur with rail link. A survey for Bhanupalli-Bilaspur and Una-Hamirpur railway line had been completed and funds had been sanctioned.
Hailing the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dhumal said Modi had restored the dignity of the country at the global level and contained the terrorism.
