Solan, August 7

The Congress yesterday alleged that developmental works in Kasauli were suffering due to bitter factionalism in the BJP.

Congress spokesperson Ramesh Chauhan said, “Kasauli is the home constituency of Health and Family Welfare Minister Rajiv Saizal but the health infrastructure there is poor and developmental works are suffering.”

He alleged, “The government has neither upgraded the community health centre at Dharampur to a 50-bed hospital nor a new building of the public health centre (PHC) at Patta Barori has been inaugurated for the past six months due to a tussle between two BJP factions.”

He said the previous Congress government had laid the foundation stone of the PHC in 2016. It was operating from a rented building and a Congress worker had paid Rs 96,000 as its rent since July 2014. Besides, the foundation stone of a college building was laid at Mandodhar in 2016 and Rs 5 crore was approved for it but it was yet to be constructed, he added.
