Students of DAV Public School, Alampur, showcased their talent, confidence and cultural richness at the annual function organised with enthusiasm on Thursday. The beautifully-decorated school campus echoed with joy, music and applause as students presented cultural performances.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a soulful invocation seeking divine blessings. Minister for Ayush Yadvinder Goma was the chief guest of the function. The principals of various DAV Schools, namely VK Yadav, Sanjeev Thakur, Rashmi Jamwal, Surjeet Singh Rana, RS Rana, Vinod Sharma, Naresh Katoch, Shekhar Moudgil, Vishwas Sharma, Ekta Attri, Rakesh Chand Sharma, Monika Sharma, Varun Sharma and Vishal Sharma, besides parents and well-wishers attended the function.
Students presented a vibrant cultural programme comprising classical and folk dances, group songs, skits and colourful performances like Bhangra and Giddha, leaving the audience spellbound. Each performance carried a social message and reflected the values of discipline, unity and patriotism.
Principal Bikram Singh presented the annual report. Meritorious students were given prizes and certificates for their outstanding performances in academics, sports and cultural activities.
The minister appreciated the efforts of the students and the teachers and encouraged them to strive for excellence with dedication and observing moral values. The function concluded with a vote of thanks and the singing of National Anthem.
