To celebrate the 75th year of Independence and as part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the Department of State Taxes and Excise, Shimla, organised a quiz competition on GST at Government College, Sanjauli. St Bede’s, RKMV, Government College, Kotshera, and the host college participated in the event. Sanjauli college stood first, while the second prize went to St Bede’s College and the third prize was bagged by RKMV College.

Basketball competition at St Bede’s

The National Sports Organisation organised a basketball competition at St Bede’s College on Monday. Four teams from the college took part in the competition, in which ‘Himmat’ team defeated ‘Vikrant’ to grab the top position.

Online booking date extended

Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (UHF), Nauni, has extended the last date for online booking of planting material prepared by the university’s main campus and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) at Solan. Now, interested farmers can book plants on the university portal till December 7. Booking for apple, plum, apricot, peach, kiwi, pear, pomegranate, persimmon, etc planting material is being done and farmers can submit their demand for plants by logging on the university website www.yspuniversity.ac.in and visiting the ‘farmers corner’ section.
