Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Friday urged young officers to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, transparency and ethical conduct while discharging their duties.
The Governor interacted with the trainees of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IAAS) 2025 batch at the Lok Bhavan. On the occasion, a luncheon was also hosted in honour of the probationers. The officer trainees also shared their experience with the Governor. Lady Governor Janaki Shukla was also present on the occasion.
During the interaction, the Governor shared his insights on public service, accountability and the importance of integrity in governance. He emphasised the crucial role of audit and accounts services in strengthening democratic institutions and ensuring prudent use of public resources.
Earlier, the officer trainees visited Lok Bhavan, where they were briefed about its historical significance, architectural heritage and functioning of the institution. The Governor appreciated the trainees’ keen interest and wished them success.
Director General of National Academy of Audit and Accounts (NAAA) S Alok honoured the Governor on the occasion.
Principal Accountant General (Accounts and Entitlement) Sushil Kumar Thakur, Secretary to Governor CP Verma and Director Pushpalata were also present on the occasion.
