As many as 93 MoUs were signed by the state government to attract investment worth Rs 2,219 crore during the mini conclave of global investor meet held in Manali today.
Of these, 63 MoUs are in the tourism sector only with an investment of Rs 1,500 crore. This was stated by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while presiding over the mini conclave. Entrepreneurs from Himachal and other states also participated.
The Chief Minister said the state government had conducted three roadshows in Germany, the Netherlands and the UAE and six in Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh which got positive response.
Thakur said the state government had adopted a holistic approach to attract investment and Himachal had topped he fast mover’s category in ease of doing business. The Single Window Monitoring and Clearance Authority reflected strong commitment of the government to ensuring efficiency, transparency, timeliness and accountability in providing services to investors.
Till date 419 MoUs had been signed with an investment of Rs 41,000 crore. — OC
