Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi announced that the state government was spending Rs 88 crore this year to build 493 libraries at the gram panchayat level. Addressing students at Government High School, Ladhog, in Kunihar during their annual function, Awasthi highlighted the importance of libraries in enhancing education. He stated that these libraries would provide quality reading facilities for youth, helping them supplement their school and college education.

The MLA emphasised that success requires concentration, determination and hard work. He advised students to use their time effectively and create action plans to achieve their goals. “Participation in extracurricular activities is essential for all-round development, preparing students to face future challenges,” he said. Awasthi also underlined the role of teachers and school management committees in fostering education and urged parents to instill cultural and moral values in their children.

Highlighting efforts to boost rural livelihoods, Awasthi said the government aims to strengthen agriculture and milk production. The minimum support price for cow milk has been raised from Rs 38 to Rs 45 per liter, and for buffalo milk, from Rs 47 to Rs 55 per liter. This initiative aims to enhance the rural economy through improved dairy farming.
